Familiar explores an interest in small moments of physical interaction between family members. Sourced from family films, the work cuts from the original footage to the recreated scenes of my own. Evoking a sense of closeness but also absurdity: taking this sweet, simple action out of the context of a home movie, distilling and replicating the moment.
